These aren't your regular style of Contact swords.

Designed primarily to act more like an asymmetric contact staff, they have a much more forgiving sensation for flow due to the fact that they have a very large grip-zone, allowing for a far easier translation of staff moves with significantly reduced likelihood of coming in to close proximity with the large acrylic pommel/counterweight.

Thanks to our custom-made thicknesses of Carbon Fibre poles and 7075-T6 Aluminium tubing which is precision machined in house to interface perfectly, our contact swords are built for long-lasting stiffness and durability.

Braided Nightshade sword blades are based upon the same proprietary design principles and technology that go in to the construction of our fire whips to keep the weight low and the performance high.

We use a proprietary chemical and fire resistant ultra light absorbent internal wicking system that reduces the need for multiple braided layers of Kevlar whilst still providing generous amounts of fuel soakage.

Featuring a 16-plait pure Kevlar overlay, with a sacrificial 3 Bight Turks Heads end-cap that can easily be replaced when it wears through from burn and/or abrasion damage, without the need to replace the rest of the wick.
