- UNPARALELED FLEXIBILITY IN A SNAKE
- DESIGNED FOR TECHNICAL POI SPINNING
Truly the only snake poi of their kind on the planet.
Loved by many seasoned technical poi spinners, these instruments offer what others simply cannot.
Our Nightshade Technical Snake Poi are based upon the same proprietary design principles and technology that go in to the construction of our fire whips to keep the weight low and the performance high.
They provide large fuel soakage and plenty of surface area for equally large flames, whilst having the benefit of unmatched flexibility and zero metal hardware to maintain the malleable and balanced feeling of regular poi which allow for effortless spiral wraps and super/hyper loops as well as making stalls and throws a much more predictable sensation.
X4:
Built upon a 5mm Technora core, the X4 model features a lighter 4-strand outer braid on the body paired with a 4-Bight head to complement the thinner frame, making it better suit for faster spinning styles and makes it more flexible for tricks such ad super/hyper loops and spiral wraps.
X6:
Using a 6mm Technora core and a larger internal wick, the X6 model is designed for more fuel absorption and bigger flames as it features a 6-strand outer braid on the body paired with a 6-Bight head. This does make it a bit stiffer until the Kevlar wears in sufficiently from a few burns and the heavier frame is better suited for slower spinning styles and those who are more experienced with managing large flames.
Dry Weights:
Nightshade X4 - 220 grams
Nightshade X6 - 280 grams
IMPORTANT NOTICES:
Snake poi are EXTREMELY dangerous instruments that can lead to severe burns if they are not handled correctly and with care!
Kevlar-lined leather or thick organic-based leather alternative gloves are heavily recommended over Nomex gloves, especially if you are using special effects powders.
Plain Nomex gloves are typically quite thin, only heat resistant and WILL soak up any liquid fuel if you are attempting spiral wraps.
