Silicone + Glass fibre fuel barrier

It is recommended that sections are cut to length and glued on to the core/tether interface end before your Kevlar knots are tied.


Silicone is quite heat resistant in the right applications, but it will split under intense, direct and prolonged heat. To help prevent this issue, we recommend that the barrier should not protrude any further than 5mm above the fire head, so this should be taken into account in your crafting calculations.


For cleanest results when cutting to length, use masking/painter's tape to wrap around the tubing, mark the desired measurement with pencil or a fine-liner and cut with Kevlar scissors.
